|KOOKIN' FOR KIDZ 2012|
Mr. Ward Webb, with the Ascension Parish Sherriff's Office, ongoing supporters of our cause, presented the board of Project Kidz Kove with a check for almost $10,000. The money was raised through their hosting of "Kookin' for Kidz" which has become a popular event in the parish that raises money for Kidz Kove Discovery Park and Special Olympics equally. Our Lady of the Lake Foundation is our latest sponsor. They have donated $25,000 to our cause, bringing our total over $600,000. With help like this, our dream, Kidz Kove Discovery Park, will become a reality in the near future!!
|Cocktails and Cufflinks Event|
The Cocktails and Cufflinks Event held in March raised over $11,000 for Project Kidz Kove. The males only event served a steak dinner with cigars and beverages provided. A comedian was the entertainment and a silent auction was held. The event was sold out well before it was scheduled to take place and should be as successful if not more next year!!

NOVEMBER 2011 - Our second annual chili cook-off was another hit!! Held on November 17, 2011, our community raised about $5,000 while preparing for the 'chili' days ahead!!! OCTOBER 2011 - Project Kidz Kove is proud to announce we have recently been awarded a $50,000 grant by the Greater Baton Rouge State Fair Foundation through their "Worthy Cause" program. The fair was a great success, as always, and we are truly appreciative of the boards' giving back to the community!
September 2011 - Our honorable, anonymous donor has gifted Project Kidz Kove another $25,000!! He has been a "Title"wave of support, donating supplies and prizes for some of our fundraisers, in addition to his monitary contributions. He is a true guardian angel!

Our inaugural Project Kidz Kove golf tournament, held April 21, 2011 was a huge success! Thanks to all of those who helped make it such a special event, especailly the sponsors: Veron's Sausage, Coca-Cola, Mockler Beverage, Don's Seafood, ISC, and to all of our hole and contest sponsors. We received great feedback from the players, and all were impressed by the top prizes, 4 Callaway drivers and 4 Callaway golf bags, donated anonymously. We can't wait to do it again next year!!
Our February fundraiser was an informational event open to the community, where all could come and learn about Project Kidz Kove. Thanks to our generous supporters! We hope you were inspired, and share our dream with others so that this much needed park can become a reality for all of the kids in our community! Our Chili Cook-off was a great success! Held November 17th at the Gonzales Fire Department Public Safety Center on Orice Roth Road, 100% of proceeds went to Project Kidz Kove! We raised over $4,000 in one day! Thanks to Chief Tracey Normand for hosting us and helping to get the word out. Thanks to our chili cooks, the Gonzales Fire Department (Chris Johnson), Tammy Cullen (board member), Excel, GSA (Glen Shaheen), the Prairieville Volunteer Fire Department, and the Professional Firefighters of Prairieville.
